A little won't hurt! - Object Lesson on Pornography

I had a large iced pitcher of orange drink (I think I had sunny D) and two fancy stemware glasses sitting on a tray in the front of the room.
I asked if anyone would like a nice refreshing orange drink.
When I got a volunteer from the class I picked up one of the stemware glasses and pulled out orange dish washing soap from under the table and filled the glass with the dish washing soap (any orange colored cleaning product would do).
I handed the volunteer the glass full of orange colored soap and of course they refused. I persisted "But it is orange and it is really useful to clean your dishes. It is really hot outside... Come on! Just try it."
She refused. Of course that was a no brainner.
We talked about the fact that we wouldn't knowingly just drink poison.
Even though that has it's place in the home and is very useful, but we wouldn't just drink it.
Then someone said, "But just a little bit is ok."
(that was heaven sent literally!)
So I grabbed the other glass and filled it mostly with the real orange drink and then put in "just a little bit" (about a teaspoon) of the dish washing soap. I offered it to the student. She refused. I persisted "But orange juice is high in vitamin C and has all kinds of good things for you. Orange juice is VERY GOOD for you....it'll help you get better if you are sick, and tastes delicious!"
She said "But it has Soap in it!"
I said "but just a little bit! A little bit won't hurt you. It is just that one part. You can drink around it, it is only a small part...and the rest is really good for you! You will like it!"
I couldn't convince her.
We talked about how Satan and the world present Pornography. Of course we wouldn't just drink in his poison. Pornography is poison.
But sometimes we rationalize "a little bit" "....fast forward that part of the movie, or skip those pages, or just wait, it is just a little bit" but it is poison. He can talk about all the benefits of what we think we are really getting, or how the rest of the movie is SOOO Good...but that one part of poison ruins the entire thing.

We did this lesson years ago in FHE, except I made a layer cake. The smell filled our home and frosted in yummy chocolate frosting. When it was time for FHE, I offered each person a piece. They were all eager for a piece and took a bit. That's when I told them the filling was canned dog food. "Just a little won't hurt you!"
